These gaskets can be made from various metals, providing excellent resistance to corrosive mediums. They are suitable for temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2000ºF (1093ºC) and can be used in pressures from vacuum to 2500 pressure class flange ratings.

Our Spiral Wound Gaskets come in different densities, catering to various needs. From low-density gaskets for vacuum service to high-density gaskets with a seating stress of approximately 30,000 psi (207 MPa), we have options to suit different applications. The softer gaskets require a seating stress of around 5,000 psi (34 MPa).

Spiral Wound Gaskets with Inner Ring

Spiral Wound Gaskets with Inner Ring consist of a spiral wound sealing component with a solid metal inner ring. Inner rings are included to prevent inward buckling and are essential for gaskets with PTFE filler material. They are also provided for flexible graphite-filled gaskets unless otherwise specified by the purchaser.

Inner rings are required for NPS 24 and larger in Class 900, NPS 12 and larger in Class 1500, and NPS 4 and larger in Class 2500 due to high bolt loads that may damage the outer ring. These gaskets are suitable for male and female pipe flanges.
