Pure PTFE Gaskets commonly known as "plastic king", has many applications as sealing materials. Because of its high corrosion resistance, stable physical properties, high and low temperature resistance, it has achieved good sealing performance. It has been widely applied in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, power and steel industries. The applicable medium includes almost all chemical components, such as water, oil, acid solution, alkali solution and so on.
Modified PTFE Gaskets
PTFE modified gasket is made from PTFE suspension resin with proper fillers such as glass fiber, glass microsphere, graphite, barium sulfate, carbon fiber, molybdenum disulfide, polyphenyl, argil etc. in process of molding or skiving sheet. Added a certain amount of filler, and the compression resistance and high temperature resistance will be greatly improved.
Expanded PTFE Gasket
Expanded PTFE effectively fills flange imperfections for a tight, leak-free seal. It is easily compressed under lower loads, beneficial for applications such as FRP or glass-lined flanges. Unlike conventional PTFE, which is prone to creep and cold flow, expanded PTFE has good creep resistance and bolt torque retention properties even under higher compressive force. With expanded PTFE, it is much more possible to bolt up once and not have to retorque later.
PTFE Enveloped Gaskets
PTFE Enveloped Gasket's insert is made of corrugated metal gasket, soft non-asbestos material or rubber. This insert is coated with PTFE and open on one side, usually on the outside. Thanks to the high chemical stability, good mechanical properties and permanent resistance in the atmosphere(humidity, gasses, temperature changes) they are suitable for all types of gaskets and different media mostly for aggressive chemicals.
